As children we see the world with amazement. Each new experience is full of wonder and awe. You were hungry to experience the world, you developed your own dreams and desires. You were excited to share your passion with them.
At some point maybe someone said to you you were too old to daydream. Or maybe they told you that your dream of being an artist couldn’t pay the bills, or that it was hard to find jobs as a veteranarian. Maybe when you had your feelings hurt and someone you trusted told you it was ok and to stop crying.
While none of these comments were intended to influence the decisions you make today, many of us have embraced these as our truths. In the process, we have watered down our passions. Told ourselves our dreams are impossible, and taught ourselves that i isn’t ok to feel. All of these statements can’t be farther from the truth.
What is it that truly lights you up? What do you loose track of time doing? Who is it that are drawn to work with and to help? What do you feel deeply to your core? All of these make up your passion – your true essence. When you are living from a place of passion, life becomes richer and everything feels like a gift.
What are some things that would help you reclaim your passion again?
