I have learned that the best connections come from being vulnerable. While it may seem like those around us have so much going for them, there is always more to the story. Let me share some of my story with you.
In 2010, I was trapped in an unfulfilling marriage that was rapidly deteriorating, stuck for 10 years in a stress filled and demanding corporate job which I hated. I felt my purpose in life was to keep it together at all costs. I worked to keep all appearances of a happy family and to keep a smile on my face while dreading waking up every morning. The costs to me were suffering from debilitating migraines, chronic back pain, and full-fledged stop everything panic attacks. I could not function without being medicated, – and even that was just getting me through the motions. I was dead inside. I found myself turning to alcohol and drugs to kill any emotions that were left.
One of my care providers suggested I take yoga. In that first class I caught a glimpse of the real me I had lost over the previous decade. I found something that lit the spark back into my soul. In that very first class, I knew my life would forever be changed. Over the next few months with regular practice, my pain became controlled, my migraines more infrequent, and I was able to become medication free. The steadiness and ease that I found inside myself carried me gracefully through a divorce, sending my only child off to college, and then into leaving a ten-year career. Through the skills I learned, I found courage to start helping others to re-ignite their own spark deep inside of their soul.
I am now an International Yoga Life Coach, Teacher, and Speaker helping women all over the world to live in happiness.
I would love to hear from you and learn what your best life looks like and how I can help you get there.
