You know how you hear a certain phrase multiple times in a short period of time? That is the case for me this week. “We are all just guiding each other home” has come up several times in several different settings.
It gave me cause to pause and to really think about what that means to me. I have struggled for the past year with defining myself. When asked what I do, the answer “I am a yoga teacher” just didn’t feel right. Life teacher feels a little better, Mentor, coach. . .
After hearing the quote, I realized that my purpose or dharma to help other women realize and reach for their dreams has nothing to do with my label. No matter what my career title is, my purpose for being here will always be to help women find themselves and passionately live with joy.
We are all just here to walk each other home and to lift each other up in love and respect. The Mayan saying In Lak’ech meaning I am you, and you are me takes this idea just a little deeper in that collectively we are all a part of one another.
How do you show up for others to help them on their journey? Not just in your business, but in friendships, family, or just buying a coffee?
