I was initially drawn to yoga looking for more flexibility and strength and better balance. Before finding Amy, I had some yoga experience and was looking to build on what I already had learned.I work until 5:00 so I have to wait until 6:00 for class. But Amy's yoga class is worth the wait! Since practicing yoga, my focus and concentration in day to day life have greatly improved. Having yoga class at the beginning of the week really helps keep me be focused through the whole week.I find myself doing things that I have learned in Amy's classes throughout the day whether it is squatting down to pick something up instead of bending or balancing on one foot while talking. I am taking care of myself. I find I am in a much better mood.Amy creates and an easy going, low pressure environment. She encourages us to extend our ability with the options she gives. I am also glad to have her supervision while going through the poses, I am never sure when I am practicing at home if I am "doing it right".Amy really cares about each student and makes sure we are all doing what works for our individual practice.
I initially came to yoga looking for more flexibility, increased strength, better balance, and to learn to do more advanced postures.Since working with Amy, I have noticed improvement in the above as well as I am able to relax more and breathe more deeply. It has increased my focus on self-care, self-love, and peace in all things pertaining to life. My core is stronger than ever and it is interesting how it can be a slow and gradual thing, but very noticeable. That gives me a great sense of accomplishment, but it is very well thought out by Amy. I would know, because I have been doing yoga with Amy for several years now.I am very present and aware in all aspects of my life. I am very much more intuitive and peaceful because of my yoga practice. I have increased my confidence levels in many areas and have learned to appreciate myself and others with joy. The core strength and flexibility helps with the many jobs I have. I use my body correctly now, which prevents injury.I continue to work with Amy because rather than being focused on "fitness" or "workouts", her sessions focus on having a healthy yoga practice as we are aging. We have a lot in common and think a lot alike. :o) If I hadn't known her, I really am not sure if my path would be the same. I broke out of my quandary while being involved with her teachings. (Always wanted to say that...seemed like a good opening). She very sensitive to all of the needs of her clients. She intuitively knows what I need from week to week. That is a gift.
I wasn't going to take the time to attend. Very glad I did. Very worthwhile hour and for my future. Thank you.
Excellent break in my day. Perfect workshop for a stressful day! I left feeling energized and relaxed at the same time.
Loved it! Love how much you remind us to be gentle with ourselves.

Thank you for the therapeutic yoga session. You're the best of the best Amy Joy!
I have fibromyalgia and experience severe migraines. I walk, but I seldom take the time to stretch. I've experienced many yoga instructors before who just go through the drills, but they don't truly work with their clients and make sure that the client is achieving what they are attending the class to experience. I was looking to gain flexibility and learn the right way to stretch and move through yoga, and Amy has shared this gift. The longer I continue with Amy, the more I feel the results of my muscles strengthening and my flexibility advancing.
Another great yoga session!
I have yet to leave not feeling so much more calm than when I walked in Amy's studio. She promotes a fun, accepting and safe space to practice yoga. For the first time, I really look forward to attending group sessions.
I initially started working with Amy because I wanted to experience Reiki to help with Anxiety and Depression. I began with Amy doing Restorative Yoga which helped me with my anxiety, then I got involved with beginning yoga and continue to go to class. I have also enjoyed the knowledge I've gained from Amy’s Ayurveda workshops. Not only am I getting the results I had hoped for, but also far beyond my expectations!
I came to Amy’s Group Yoga Classes to help with relaxation and flexibility. She is an excellent teacher knows yoga and how to teach it to students at their own pace. I highly recommend her! I am very much seeing the results I was expecting to see.
I was drawn to work with Amy because her openness in revealing her own personal journey on her website made her appear vulnerable and relatable. She also had solid yoga background, experience and education. Her website was very thorough. I continue to work with Amy because she is as down-to-earth and easy to relate to as she appears on her website. She has strong knowledge of the human body and takes care with her students to ensure safe and proper positioning. She makes me feel genuinely cared for during practice. I also truly appreciate her spiritual presence. I came to Amy hoping to feel more centered, calm, and present. I certainly feel that way -- especially after the class and the few days following. What I am noticing that I was not expecting, is I have had a little weight loss that I wasn't expecting, along with diminished neck and upper back discomfort.
When I attend yoga classes offered at other studios, I notice other students who do not know how to get into a pose, but I do. The reason I do is because Amy has clearly and completely explained how and why we are moving into the pose. She have taken the time to teach. The quality of service Amy Erickson provides is outstanding.
I began working with Amy because of her location, and her special new student offer. I choose to continue to work with her because I felt Amy was extremely intuitive and personally attentive. She really cares and it shows. She gives just a bit more than she might have to, and that can really make a great bit of difference. I was searching for Spiritual growth, physical well-being, especially balance and flexibility. i am seeing those results, and some I didn't expect. I feel supported and encouraged personally, even though Amy knows very little about me.
I was drawn to work with Amy because she seemed very truthful and respectful, characteristics I believe a Yoga teacher should have. She also seemed very knowledgeable about the Yoga lifestyle, not just the moves. Amy was interested in helping me grow as an individual, not just my money! I kept working with Amy not only because of her compassion and intense knowledge, but also her laid back approach. She made me feel like even I could do yoga. She soothed the intimidation factor. I was looking to improve my flexibility, health, and anxiety. I was hoping to find inner peace! It did help when I went to sessions!!
I found Amy’s website while searching for yoga classes near my home. I prefer a smaller class and not being in a workout center. I like Amy’s organic style with yoga classes, her caring and understanding demeanor with her clients, and her knowledge of so many areas of healing. Her intuitive talents are also very interesting to me as I am slowly developing some of my own abilities. The class is very accepting of everyone and the women seem to be very empathetic to each other and that starts with the teacher. It is a very warm and safe atmosphere where you can be yourself. I initially started learning yoga last October with my first teacher in hopes of becoming healthier, learn to manage my depression and anxiety, create some confidence within myself, and feel better in my clothing, as well as manage any arthritic issues that seem to be cropping up. Now with Amy I would like to continue striving for wellness in all of these areas and learn even more. I am continually improving my practice with the weekly classes. I didn't expect to get even more limber this fast. It wasn't my goal, but seems to be happening.
